We Should Talk Peace (DVD)
DVD
Find hope in the stories of grass-roots peacemakers in Kenya, Nigeria and Uganda from the point of view of the unsung heroes, the everyday peace-builders, who have dedicated themselves to making a difference in their communities and countries. In Kenya, former Home Guard soldiers and Mau Mau warriors remember the past and join in forgiveness as together they plant trees of peace. After the killing of her brother at the hands of Christians in the Jos crisis of 2001 in Nigeria, one Muslim woman became extreme in her beliefs and refused to interact with Christians. Through the encouragement of her father, she learns to trust again and is now a leading peacemaker in her community. In the northern Acholi territories of Uganda, civil war continues to take a toll on families. Every night children flee their homes under the threat of violence and kidnapping by the Lord's Resistance Army, finding refuge at St. Mary's Hospital in Lacor. Learn what sustains these peacemakers and how they are making a difference. For grade 10 to adult. Quote : "I feel we have to be a generation of peace-loving people. We should talk peace." ? Reverend Sister Josephine Acan. To purchase click here.  (English)   [details
